BRIAN EPSTEIN AUTOGRAPH FRAMED WITH ART PRINT AND CAVERN CLUB BRICK FRAGMENTS -A 13"X16" wood and glass frame with double matted display items. Inside is a 1962/63 era Brian Epstein signature (black ballpoint pen) on a pink 4"x5" autograph page. Brian was the manager of the Beatles and is one of the hardest Beatles related autographs to find. Also matted is an 8"x10" limited edition Giclee Art Print by Rock Republic. The photo is of the Beatles and Brian Epstein in the Cavern Club in 1962. It is on 100% hand molded cotton rag and is numbered 213/295. The display also has a 3"x4" area with affixed authentic vintage Cavern Club brick fragments. I acquired the autograph from a British collector. It was in an autograph book. I will also provide the book. A girl (Carol) in Twickingham was given the book in 1959 by her father. On the back page she lists the autographs the book originally had Brian Epstein, Wayne Fontana, Mal Evans and 6-7 others. It has a signature/entry from what looks to be a school friend in 1961, and a 1964 Xmas sig from Johnny Briggs, a signature from Bill ? (Georgie Fames drummer). The book is of little value now as the Mal Evans and Wayne Fontana signature were removed prior to my obtaining it. Still, it is a nice piece to have to show the origination of the Epstein signature. DHANI HARRISON AUTOGRAPHED "FIST FULL OF MERCY" ALBUM- Like his father George, Dhani has teamed up with Ben Harper and Joseph Arthur to form their own Traveling Wilbury style band with their album "As I Call You Down." The newly formed rock group came to Vintage Vinyl in New Jersey on October 5, 2010 to celebrate the release of their album. They performed songs for fans and then signed albums and cds. STAR CLUB OWNER MANFRED WEISSLEDER SIGNED STAR CLUB RECEIPT DISPLAY- A 9 1/2"x 17 1/2" wood frame, with real glass, with a b/w photo of the owner of the Star Club, in Hamburg Germany, Manfred Weissleder and a 4" x 11" Star Club Bill of Exchange, dated 12 October, 1963, for 500 German Marks. Mr. Weissleder has signed in blue ballpoint pen. There is wear, a tear, and stains to the receipt. The display also contains an actual piece of the wood from the Star Club stage where the Beatles played. Manfred Weissledger launched the famed Star Club in April 1962 with the Beatles topping the bill. He died in 1980. The Star Club suffered a fire in 1983. In the summer of 1985 Gunter Zint salvaged sections of the famed stage at Grosse Feiheit No39 before the 12 October, 1986 demoliton of the night club. JOHNNY GENTLE AUTOGRAPH-In May 1960 Johnny Gentle took a back up band known as "The Silver Beetles" to Alloa Scotland for a short tour. This was before Pete Best so Tommy Moore was the drummer and each of the Beetles used "made up" names. What I'm offering is a photo copy (on paper) of one of the earliest sets of Beatles autographs. A real autograph book page was reproduced and then Johnny Gentle signed it, a few years back, in the lower right corner in blue ballpoint pen. QUARRYMEN AUTOGRAPHED ELECTRIC GUITAR PLUS EXTRA #1-Full size, strat style, S-101 brand, imported guitar. The scratch plate has been signed boldly by John Lowe and Len Garry in black sharpie and Rod Davis and Colin Hanton in blue sharpie. The signatures were all obtained in Chicago on 5 August 2007. The pick guard was removed when signed. When re-installed one knob covers part of Rod's first name. You will also receive an original 1950's Grampian brand microphone just like the one John Lennon and the Quarrymen used. It's in great shape and still works. To make this an even better display group you will also receive a framed display that has two different film clips (2 frames each) of 2 famous still shots used in a documentary film showing photos taken on the 6 of July, 1957 when John Lennon (playing with the Quarrymen) met Paul McCartney. Also included are 3 guitar picks as shown. A strip of actual St. Peters Church (where John met Paul) wall fragments are inside the display. This wall section of the Hall of St. Peters Church (where Paul met John) was recovered during a 2002 renovation. The gentleman who recovered the wall section was a Beatles fan who just happened to be there when the removal of the wall, from the Hall where John met Paul so many years ago, took place. I acquired several pieces and because of their thickness I had to remove some of the base to make a display. I saved the base material and reduced it and strained it to make this display possible. The old wall had over 1" of base material (sand mixture etc,) and then a thick layer of plaster on top that was then painted. We will also include the cd album "Teddy Boy" that contains the song "WHEN JOHN MET PAUL." What a rare grouping!
